In Nevada, less than 50% of children are reading at grade level by the end of third grade.
Reading proficiency by the end of third grade is one of the earliest indicators of high school graduation and overall success in life.
These children are the future of our community, and they need our help.

- United Readers - which places AmeriCorps mentors to provide one-on-one and small group literacy skill building.
- Nevada Ready! State Pre-K - which provides children the opportunity to attend preschool at no cost to the families.
- Increasing access to books by distributing brand new, age-appropriate books to children.
