United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra Launches Emergency Assistance Fund for Davis Fire Relief

Reno, NV – In response to the devastating Davis Fire that has ravaged over 5,000 acres in Washoe County, displacing families and destroying homes, United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS) has launched an Emergency Assistance Fund to support those impacted. The fund will provide critical resources such as food, shelter, and emergency financial assistance.

“With thousands of residents evacuated and many without power, the community needs our support more than ever,” said Blake Pang, President & CEO of UWNNS. “This fund is dedicated to helping families recover from the devastation brought by this fire, offering immediate aid and long-term recovery assistance.”

The Davis Fire has caused the evacuation of over 20,000 residents, threatening critical infrastructure and homes. Donations to the UWNNS Emergency Assistance Fund will go directly to organizations helping families and individuals recover and rebuild. In this time of crisis, UWNNS is forgoing all administrative fees associated with processing. This ensures that the full donation goes where it is most needed.

UWNNS encourages individuals and businesses to contribute. Donations can be made through the dedicated fund page: uwnns.org/eaf
